Plett Rock & Surf Expeditions offers fully guided 5 day land-based fishing expeditions along one of the most spectacular coastlines on the African continent. No boats. No crowds. Just you, the ocean, and some of the most exciting shore fishing on the planet.
Over five days you will fish the iconic Robberg Peninsula, the world-renowned beaches of Keurboomstrand, and the breathtaking wilderness coastline of Natures Valley. You will learn to read the tides, understand the conditions, and target Bronze Whaler sharks, Ragged Tooth sharks, Kob and rays from the rocks and beaches of a truly wild African coastline.

Groups are kept to a maximum of 4 anglers. Your guide is a qualified educator by profession, which means you don't just catch fish. You leave understanding the ocean, the conditions, and the craft. Complete beginners are not just welcome, they are some of our favourite clients.
All rods, reels, bait and tackle are included. You bring nothing but yourself and a sense of adventure.

I didn't set out to become a fishing guide. I was a school principal who fished seriously and loved sharing what I knew. When friends and family started landing Bronze Whalers and trophy Kob under my guidance, something clicked. I had found a way to combine two things I genuinely love. Teaching people, and the ocean.
Today I guide on the Plettenberg Bay coastline. Bronze Whaler and Ragged tooth sharks, Kob, rays, and everything in between. My background as an educator means clients don't just catch fish. They leave understanding the water, the conditions, and the craft.
This coastline is extraordinary. Most visitors never access it properly. That's what I'm here to change.
