High Mountain Backcountry Fly Fishing

Our backcountry fishing trip is truly unique and gets back to the roots of why we fly fish. Our fishing camp sits next to the headwaters of a famous Blue Ribbon trout river. We provide access to the upper forks of the river where the water is always cold and the fish are always hungry. The river is predominantly populated with Westslope Cutthroat Trout making this the dry-fly fisherman's dream! We have exclusive outfitting rights on the upper 15 miles of the creek giving you endless walk and wade opportunities. Tired of walking? We have 3 high mountain lakes that hold big Cutthroats, a short ride out from camp in the morning gets you to the lake just in time for the hatch. Come in and enjoy 50 fish days, big native Cutthroats, and the opportunity to catch an elusive Bull Trout. Our fishing camp is the perfect escape from reality, whether you are coming for a week or a long weekend. Your trip starts with a 15 mile horseback ride into camp. Our remote tent city gives you your own canvas tent for privacy, a communal cook tent, hot shower tent, and of course the ever important discreet latrine tent. You can fish a blue ribbon trout stream right from camp, travel the banks by foot, or hop in the saddle and ride up and down the creek to find the best honey holes. During the day you will always have an experienced guide with you to help you net fish, make sure you've got the right flies for the hatch, and tend to the horses. A satisfying shore lunch is included, and of course after a long day of fishing we come back to camp and enjoy a fresh cooked meal and sit back under the stars around the glow of a warm campfire.
